Let Go of Negative Self-Beliefs with Ayahuasca

10 years ago, just after my first strong experience with Ayahuasca, I shared a song at an ecstatic dance event in London.

Someone came up to me afterwards and asked, "I loved that song. Do you ever lead singing circles?"

I was about to answer "no", for I hadn't led any up until that point.

But in the slight pause between me thinking "no" and actually saying it, I realised that yes, actually from now I do lead singing circles!

So I told him, "thanks for the inspiration! I'll start offering them."

And a couple of weeks later, I'd found a beautiful venue and offered a heart-nourishing singing circle!

You see, in that moment of pause before answering "no", I realised that a belief I'd held about myself was no longer true.

I used to think "who am I to be leading adults?".

I'd played on stage hundreds of times, supported many powerful, heart-opening ecstatic sound journeys, and I'd taught music and yoga to groups of children...

But I certainly didn't see myself as someone who could lead adults during an event!

In that moment, I realised that the belief that I'm not good enough to lead adults was suddenly outdated. It was no longer true.

This is one of the many benefits of Ayahuasca. She accelerates our growth process.

By cleaning out what is outdated.

By inviting us to let go of untruths, so we become more powerfully rooted within our own truth, our own authenticity.

Now I look at how far I've come in 10 years and after many hundreds of ceremonies, I'm in awe.

In awe of the cycle of death and rebirth.

I've grown because I've been willing to let go.

Let go of who I used to think I was. Let go of what I thought I was capable of. Or worthy of.

Which made space to evolve more fully into the woman I am today, who has led many life-changing events and retreats around the world.
